Fresh off his successful visit to Edinburgh with his fianncee, Prince Harry paid a visit to the Fit and Fed February half-term holiday activity programme today at Roundwood Youth Centre in Brent.
Fit and Fed is a campaign led by StreetGames that strives to stop the holiday gap of hunger, lack of activity, and loneliness. They offer activity sessions and a healthy meal every day for local children.

According to the organisation: “60% of families with an annual income of £25,000 can’t always afford food during the holidays, and families on less than £15,000 report a constant struggle.”
In its first year, Fit and Fed helped 160 organisations deliver free activity sessions along with meals to 251 sites with 14,074 young people provided with 84,682 meals and snacks.
HRH met young volunteers and coaches from Sport at the Heart, taking part in a handball ‘activator’ session. Run by StreetGames’ Training Academy, the training assists young people to become coaches, who can then take their experience and volunteer in their local community sports programmes.
Harry went on to meet with volunteers in the kitchen and then helped to serve lunch for the children attending today’s programme.
