The Queen is the Patron of Den Gamle By, and this is the first time the public will have a chance to see such an exhibition outside of Denmark’s capital.

The exhibition which runs from 28 March to 9 September 2018 features clothes from the Danish Queen.

A total of 37 dresses and suits along with 42 hats are on display until early September.

Highlights include dresses from various parties and galas as well as some items from Her Majesty’s childhood.

“The Queen has a flair for discovering interesting fabrics for frocks and outfits. Her Majesty always makes sure of saving clothes so they can later re-emerge as new, fascinating creations. The Queen is a huge fan of recycling,” said Curator Tove Engelhardt Mathiassen.

This exhibition is not the first time the Danish Queen has had her wardrobe on display. In 2015 a selection was on display in Copenhagen to mark her 75th birthday.
