British Royal Family

4th April 2018

  • The Duchess of Gloucester will visit New Scotland Yard, Victoria Embankment in London.
  • The Duke of Kent will attend a National Commemorative Service to mark the 50th anniversary of the death of The Revd Dr Martin Luther King Jr at Westminster Abbey in London.
  • Prince Charles will officially open the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

5th April 2018

  • The Duke of Kent will visit Queenborough Guildhall Museum in Kent.
  • The Duke of Gloucester will visit Coverack Town Centre in Helston.
  • The Duke of Kent will visit Sheerness Dockyard Church in Naval Terrace, Kent.
  • The Duke of Gloucester will visit Cornish Sea Salt, Polgwarra, Lizard Peninsula.
  • Princess Anne, as President of Royal Yachting Association, will attend the Youth National Championships at Largs Sailing Club in Largs, Ayr and Arran.
  • The Duke of Gloucester will officially reopen Helston Railway in Helston.
  • The Duke of Gloucester will visit Tom Raffield Limited near Helston.
  • Princess Anne, as Honorary President Spinal Injuries Scotland, will attend a dinner at Mercure Aberdeen Ardoe House Hotel in Aberdeen.

  • The Earl of Wessex will attend a dinner at Park Hyatt Hotel at Parliament Square, Melbourne.

  • The Earl of Wessex will attend a Real Tennis Dinner at Melbourne Cricket Club, Richmond.
  • Princess Anne, as Honorary Member of the Rotary Club of Elgin, will attend the Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland Annual Conference at Riviera International Centre in Torquay.
  • The Earl of Wessex will visit Royal Melbourne Tennis Club as part of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Real Tennis Tour 2018.

8th April 2018

  • The Earl of Wessex will attend a meeting at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University.
  • The Earl of Wessex will visit Federation University in Ballarat.
  • The Earl of Wessex will visit Ballarat Tennis Club as part of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Real Tennis Tour 2018.
  • The Earl of Wessex will attend a Real Tennis dinner at Craig’s Royal Hotel in Ballarat.

European Royals

Belgium

  • Nothing scheduled this week for the Belgian Royals

Denmark

  • 4th April – Crown Princess Mary will be in Paris for the OECD Global Forum. Mary will attend various events and meetings as well as speak at the opening. The Global Forum brings together individuals from business, trade unions, civil society and academia to discuss fundamental global, social and economic challenges.
  • Princess Benedikte attends the groundbreaking event for a new college house as Patron of the Parent Foundation in Greentorvet.
  • Queen Margrethe receives Fredensborg City Torch at Fredensborg Castle.
  • 5th April – Princess Marie visits Hans Christian Andersen Children’s Hospital and attends research seminar on allergies in Odense.

The Netherlands

  • Nothing scheduled this week for the Dutch Royals

Norway

  • 5th April – King Harald will have an audience with the Foreign Minister. Queen Sonja and Crown Prince Haakon will also be in attendance.
  • 6th April – The King will hold a State Council meeting at the Royal Palace. Crown Prince Haakon will join the King as well.

Spain

  • 3rd April – King Felipe, Queen Letizia, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia will attend a mass commemorating the 25th anniversary of the death of The Count of Barcelona at the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo.
  • 4th April – The King will visit the Electronic War Regiment No. 32
    at the Military Base El Copero in Seville.
  • The Queen attends the ‘Conference on the Informative Treatment of Disability in Social Networks’ at the Headquarters of the Medical Association of Spain.
  • 5th April – The King will receive the credentials of the new Ambassadors to Spain at The Royal Palace.

Sweden

  • This week easter festivities continue with an Easter adventure at Drottningholm Castle and Easter Hunt at the Royal Palace. Also Påskyra, the flower exhibition at Ulriksdal Palace takes place all week as does family days at Riddarholm Church.
  • 6th April – King Carl will have audiences with representatives from Tanzania, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritania and Cambodia at the Royal Palace.
  • 7th April – King Carl and Queen Silvia will attend a memorial service at Adolf Fredriks Church while Crown Princess Victoria will attend a memorial concert to honour the victims and their families of the terrorist attack at Drottninggatan. On 7 April 2017, in central Stockholm, a hijacked lorry deliberately drove into crowds along Drottninggatan, one of Stockholm’s main shopping streets before crashing through a department store.
