Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Name Charity in Lieu of Gifts for New Prince

Following today’s birth of the newest addition to their family, William and Catherine have asked well-wishers who wanted to send gifts to donate to a charity.

The Cambridge family welcomed a healthy baby boy at 1101am today.

George and Charlotte’s little brother weighed 8lbs 7 oz.

The Duke and Duchess have named Evelina London Children’s Hospital as their chosen charity for those who wish to donate to mark the birth of their third child.

The Duchess visited the Snow Leopard Ward, and William stopped to see the Beach Ward and meet Evelina London’s staff, patients and families earlier this year. Catherine also opened Ronald McDonald House Evelina London in 2017.

In a press release from Evelina London Children’s Hospital they noted:

“We send our warmest congratulations to The Duke and Duchess. As we prepare to celebrate Evelina London’s 150th birthday, we would like to thank Their Royal Highnesses for their generous gesture and all those who donate.”

All donations will go to advancing care for sick children. Those wishing to donate can click on the link below:
