Princess Anne celebrated her 70th birthday
On 15th August 2020, Princess Anne, the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, celebrated her 70th birthday. She is a former Olympian and she is one of the hardest working-members of The Royal Family. She became the Princess Royal in 1987.
She previously dated Andrew Parker-Bowles before marrying firstly with Captain Mark Phillips with whom she has 1 son and 1 daughter – Peter Philips and Zara Tindall. The couple later divorced, and she subsequently married Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence.
On the occasion of her 70th Birthday The Royal Family released three official photos of the Princess taken at her country residence of Gatcombe Park in western England.
The photos were taken by photographer John Swannell. Two of the photos show the Princess in formal dress while a third one shows her outside in the countryside.
The Princess Royal, in the three new official portraits wears:
1. In this image she is wearing a Sue Palmer emerald green dress and a gold ribbon knot brooch, set with 12 diamonds.

2. In this image she is wearing an evening gown by Maureen Baker, who also designed her wedding dress back in 1973 and a Sue Palmer matching bolero jacket and pearls;

3. In this image she is dressed more causally for the outdoor setting.
Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall have led the family tributes to Princess Anne on her 70th birthday.
The heir to the throne shared a collection of images of the siblings over the years – capturing the pair horse riding together, and with their parents, The Queen, 94, and The Duke of Edinburgh, 99, as youngsters.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also celebrated the milestone by posting a selection of photographs with the royal birthday girl to their social media page.
