Her Majesty The Queen and Buckingham Palace have issued their response to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s revelation heavy interview with Oprah Winfrey.
On Tuesday evening a statement was released from Buckingham Palace on behalf of The Queen.
The statement read:
“The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.“
It is reported that The Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William have been in crisis talks with Buckingham Palace officials since yesterday with Her Majesty refusing to sign off a statement release yesterday.
Amongst other claims in the interview, Harry and Meghan alleged that a member of The Royal Family questioned the colour of Archie’s skin before he was born. Meghan also claimed that The Duchess of Cambridge made her cry just days before her wedding in May 2018. Prince Harry also claimed that his father, Charles, stopped taking his calls after the couple’s decision to step back as senior royals.
