The Duke of Cambridge attends Euro 2020 semi-finals at Wembley as England win against Denmark

The Duke of Cambridge was present at Wembley this evening as England won their semi-final match against Denmark. The Duke was joined by Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary and Prince Christian of Denmark as England faced off against old rivals, Denmark.

The final score was England 2 Denmark 1.

The final result means that England have made it through to the Euro 2020 finals on Sunday 11th July.

The last time England were in the finals of a major tournament was in 1966 when they played West Germany in the World Cup finals and won 4-2.

England will face Italy in the final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday where it is expected there will be a full capacity crowd of 90,000.

The old Wembley Stadium, which was demolished in 2002, hosted the Euro 96 decider where Germany were declared European champions against the Czech Republic. In 1966, England’s Fifa World Cup win culminated at Wembley stadium, with England lifting the trophy on home soil.

So come on England, bring it home!
