The Duchess of Cambridge has revealed that her youngest child, Prince Louis, has his own preference when it comes to superheroes. Louis, who turned four in April, has a particular soft spot for Marvel superhero Spiderman.
The Duchess of Cambridge revealed the news during a whirlwind tour of Scotland alongside The Duke of Cambridge.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were visiting the Wheatley Group site in Kennishead to see first hand how they are transforming the lives of disadvantaged or vulnerable people. The Duchess was speaking to local mother, Joanne Wales, and her four-year-old son, Jason who told the Duchess that his favourite superhero was Spiderman.
“Louis, our little boy, loves Spiderman too” replied Catherine.
Joanne Wales opened the doors to her new-build energy efficient home and welcomed The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge inside. Speaking of the new design, Joanne commented, “With four young kids, energy bills is a big concern. There’s always a need for a new pair of shoes or new clothes. I had a meeting with the energy advice team and they gave me great tips on how to use my electricity to keep my bills low. I don’t need to put the heating on as much during the day in my new home. It’s made a big difference.”
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made the trip to Scotland after The Duke of Cambridge had accompanied his father, The Prince of Wales, to the State Opening of Parliament. For the first time in fifty-nine years, Her Majesty The Queen missed the event due to “episodic mobility issues” and the Queen’s Speech was read by Prince Charles on her behalf.
Prince Louis is not the only member of the Cambridge family to have a passion for all things spider. Princess Charlotte revealed in an exchange with Sir David Attenborough for the Earthshot Prize that she also liked spiders.
